Why GROUP is different

Most leadership development is pre-designed, online-only content that gives you more to remember and more to do when you leave.

GROUP gives you a way to experience what it’s like to be led by you. In-person, in a circle, in a group of other leaders.

The premise is simple:You can’t think your way to better leadership. You need other people to understand how you are actually experienced.

As pressure and uncertainty rise, how leaders learn to show up in the messy human parts of leadership becomes increasingly important.

In GROUP, people become mirrors for one another, helping each other see the gap between intention and impact and practice the interpersonal risks leadership asks of you everyday.

Built on the same T-group practice that is used by Stanford Business School in their most popular elective: Interpersonal Dynamics. In T-groups you get to recreate the dynamics of real relationships without the professional consequences, so leaders can see their impact more clearly, experiment with how they show up, and build the capacity to lead differently.

Why leaders need GROUP now:Leaders are grappling with rapid changes that affect how we make things and how we work with each other. All while continuing to deliver high-bar work. Protect the client. Win new ones. Collaborate across changing organizations. Make difficult people decisions. Keep your best. And do it all better, faster, and with fewer people. As pressure and uncertainty rise, how leaders learn to show up in the messy human parts of leadership becomes increasingly important.

GROUP helped me better understand my self-worth, my philosophy on leadership, and how I show up and react in real time. It challenges you to move beyond surface-level reactions and assumptions, and that’s where the real growth happens.

Leaders

GROUP Leadership Intensive

This is a two-day live in-person leadership intensive. We bring together a curated group of leaders from across the industry who don't work together. Without shared history, hierarchy, or workplace politics, people can be more honest about what they are noticing and experiencing as they get to know one another.

Enrollment open for October 22 + 23, NYC. Few spots left.

Teams

GROUP For Teams

Every leadership team develops patterns over time. Eventually, those patterns become hard to see from inside the team. GROUP steps into the existing dynamic and helps the team see what they may have stopped noticing, normalized, or learned to work around.

About Us / Why we do this work

We love that moment when people finally stop performing and start connecting like real human beings. When they share the story they were afraid others would judge, and discover it was the very thing that helped everyone else let their guard down. These are the moments we love.

Both of us have spent our careers working with leaders and teams inside and around creative organizations. We have seen, in ourselves and in others, how much of the work is shaped by what happens between people. We have seen how differently we show up depending on who is in the room. As humans and practitioners, we can testify to this: people who genuinely trust and care about one another work differently.

Some people call this the soft stuff. We think it’s the hard stuff. Because staying human, honest, and connected when things get hard is one of the toughest parts of leadership. It's the part that keeps them showing up for the work and for each other. And it’s also the part people remember you the most for.
